Hi! I’m Julia. Born and raised in Amsterdam. Growing up, my room looked less like a bedroom and more like a little fashion atelier: dress forms in the corner, a sewing machine humming away, and a scrunchie business that was very serious business to me.

But life got busy, as it does. The sewing machine ended up in storage and for years I barely thought about it. My search for the perfect outfit never stopped, and I had my fair share of bad buys, always looking for those items that were just right.

When my daughter was born, something quietly woke back up in me. During all my nap trapped hours I began fantasising about creating: books, looks, posts. I dug out my sewing machine, dusted it off, and got started. I watched countless sewing tutorials and remembered everything like it was yesterday.

After my daughter turned one, we swapped our Amsterdam apartment for a house with a garden and a bit more space, and I suddenly had this dream of my own little atelier. Here in Bussum, where we live now, I am making my dreams come to life. Making my own wardrobe, my daughters wardrobe, and designing my very own patterns.
